Since high school Young
Miss has yearned for distinction, but society has historically
slammed her persona into the gutter. Determined to be an individual
she dons several new facades; Still, at parties she is manipulated,
in the streets she is objectified, and with a prospective new
beau she is secretly videotaped. Exasperated by the world’s
attempt to thwart her individuality, she finds solace in the anonymous
epicenter of mundacity: the workplace.
In this desiccated comedy
about woman vs. world, writr/director/actors Kourtney Rutherford
and Jason Schuler, show that there is nothing amusing about trying
and losing.
